Terms and Conditions
Effective 8 October 2026. These terms are the end-user license for the Morningbrief apps and the terms of use for morningbrief.pro.
These terms are a contract between you and Morningbrief (“we”, “us”). They are not a contract with Apple or Google. By creating an account or using the app or the site, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy.
The service
Morningbrief prepares a short news brief from published sources and delivers it in the iOS app, the Android app, and related pages on this website. The brief is a summary. It is not the underlying reporting, and it is not a complete record of events.
News moves. A brief can be late, incomplete, or wrong. It is general information, not professional advice of any kind, including legal, medical, financial, or investment advice. Check the original reporting before you rely on a fact.
Who may use it
You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a contract. One person, one account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in private.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service. That includes trying to break or probe it, scraping it in bulk, reselling access, uploading anything unlawful, or using another person’s account. We may suspend or close an account that does this.
Your content
You keep what you type or record, including topic notes and follow-up questions. You give us a license to use that material only to operate Morningbrief for you: to build the brief, answer a follow-up, and support your account. You can end that license by deleting the content or the account, subject to the retention periods in the Privacy Policy.
Our content and other people’s
The Morningbrief name, the app, and the way the brief is assembled belong to us or our licensors. News articles, headlines, and recordings from publishers remain theirs. We do not transfer any right in a publisher’s work to you. Do not copy the service or present a brief as original reporting.
Apps on Apple and Google
If you downloaded Morningbrief from the Apple App Store, you also agree to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and these terms apply where they do not conflict with it. Apple is not responsible for the app or for any maintenance or support. If the app fails to conform to a warranty that the law will not let us disclaim, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price of the app, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for claims by you or a third party relating to the app, including product-liability claims, a claim that the app fails to meet a legal requirement, and consumer-protection claims. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for that claim as between Apple and us. You represent that you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo and that you are not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it.
If you downloaded Morningbrief from Google Play, you also agree to the Google Play Terms of Service. Google is not responsible for the app or for these terms.
Paid features
The service may be free. If we offer a purchase or a subscription, the price, the length, and whether it renews will be shown in the app before you pay, on the store sheet provided by Apple or Google. Those store terms govern billing, renewal, and refunds. These terms and the Privacy Policy stay available at morningbrief.pro/terms and morningbrief.pro/privacy.
Ending use
You may stop using Morningbrief at any time and you may delete your account at morningbrief.pro/account-deletion. We may stop providing the service, or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice when it is reasonable to give it. Sections that should survive, including disclaimers, liability limits, and the law that governs these terms, survive.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, accurate, or error-free. Some places do not allow these disclaimers, and there they apply only as far as they may.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, Morningbrief is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for a claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Morningbrief in the three months before the claim and fifty euros. These limits do not apply to liability that the law does not let us limit, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Prague have jurisdiction, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, which nothing here removes. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the mandatory protections of your country of residence.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page. If a change is material, we will change the effective date and notify you in the app or by email when we have your address. If you keep using Morningbrief after the new date, you accept the update. If you do not, delete your account and stop using the service.
