Delete your account

This page is public. You do not need the Morningbrief app, an App Store session, or a Google Play session to use it.

Email privacy@morningbrief.pro from the address on your account. Use the subject “Delete my Morningbrief account”. That email is the request. We will delete the account and confirm to the same address.

What we delete

• Your sign-in, including email, password hash, and Google sign-in link.
• Your name and profile image reference, if we have them.
• Preferences, topic notes, and device records, including push tokens.
• Briefs generated for you, including text and audio, follow-up questions, and ratings.

Deletion is completed within 30 days of a request we can match to an account. Backup copies can take up to 90 days longer to disappear.

What we keep, and for how long

• Security logs that may contain an IP address, for up to 90 days.
• A short record that a deletion was requested and completed, so we can show that we did it.
• Information we are required by law to retain, and only for that period.

We do not keep your briefs, topic notes, or push tokens for any of those reasons.

If you no longer have that email

Write from an address you do control and include any detail that lets us match the account, such as the display name and the city in your brief settings. We may ask a further question before deleting, so the account is not removed for someone else.
